Happy New year everyone!
What a fabulous day to see the year out, just perfect. Of course my morning has been somewhat blighted with my Mother -in-Law’s voice in my head. “You don’t want to go into next year with last years dirt!” Really? Consequently I have been washing windows, sweeeping verandahs and being horrified that I am actually cleaning off a whole years worth of dirt. Ok, so I have been a little casual, some may say slack, when it comes to outside cleaning.
Of course, “He who BBQs” has just informed me that the BBQ grill plates haven’t been cleaned since the last time he cooked. I recall that event well as it was a surprise party for him, so maybe I could be a little forgiving. Still I am cooking chicken and don’t want it flavoured with chilli beef. As I prepare for dinner guests I am holding my creativity gene in check because at Chritmas I went all out making everything on a plate look like a Xmas tree or wreath. Christmas was served with Nibble Trees, a Nutella Christmas Tree, even broccoli and pea wreaths as well as Cheese board wreaths. Enough is enough!
