Seaford is a place people generally drive through on their frantic rush to get “down the peninsula” to sit on a crowded beach. What a shame! Or is it? It just happens that very few people know what they are missing. Our very favourite little hidden secret is in Seaford. It’s called Beach Cafe and yes, it sits right on the beach looking out across a pristeen beach and the pretty Seaford Pier.
SHH! Don’t tell anyone else.
On a Sunday morning “He who loves eggs” and I often stare out across the glorious expanse of sparkling blue water called Port Phillip Bay, sipping delish coffee and tucking into eggs Benedict. It is such a find! SSHHH! don’t tell anyone else. Everytime we are there one of us sighs and says, ” This is just gorgeous!” Fortunately there is a terrific menu and Maria will always serve you with a smile and great food.
All along the foreshore families set up on the clean, white sand and watch the littlies run in and out of the safe water. I was walking my puppy, Lolly along the beach the other day watching the council diligently cleaning the beach and picking up the occasional bit of flotsum which had dared to land on the shore. How lucky are we to have this ready when we are?
